English Class

It has now been about three to four weeks since we had our first english lesson. We shared opinions learnt from each other and most of all had a lot of fun.
Ever since I have learnt a vast variety of things, from my peers, from the activities we did and Mr. Raisdana.

The the most interesting thing I learnt about was blogging. I had heard about it before but never really had a blog of my own. Having a blog is a completely different feeling compared to just writing for our selves or than for some school work. In a blog we can pour our heart and soul out and write just about anything that comes to our mind. Plus we can understand and read about the opinions others have about  our writing, through their comments. A blog is a good platform for everyone to understand each other
(especially for the people who are new this year) and get a glance of what our fellow peers are like.

In my opinion, the idea of sharing anything we like and having open discussions is a good idea because if our discussions are strictly for educational purposes, nobody will really enjoy the idea  of openly sharing thoughts. In our english class I feel we have a very wide variety of places where we can share our ideas. For example our blog or then in class during a discussion. I also really appreciate the fact that we have the liberty to control our discussions and its not up to only the teacher as to who will speak and  put forward their ideas.

I feel that we should have more time to just free-write or read, in class for  about 20-30 mins. That way even if we don't get enough to read or free-write during the week, due to service or activities we can catch up this way.

  1. Yeah, I like this idea of free-writing, reading and catching up as well. Right now we are in the process of setting up systems, but we will get to a point where we have time to relax and create and consumer and connect.
